- what is experiential marketing?
Experiential marketing attempts to connect consumers with brands in
personally relevant and memorable ways. As a marketing methodology,
it aims to move beyond the traditional "features-and-benefits"
marketing, cast to a wide audience that includes not only those who
may benefit from a brand or product, but also those who would not
benefit at all.

- is being earth-conscious really
that important?
Aside from the obvious implications of being "earth-friendly" (i.e.
not polluting your resources making simple sense); for companies
interested in selling products and services, being eco-conscious is
more important than ever!
According to TrendWatching.com and several
other reliable industry resources, “with the environment finally on
the agenda of most powers that be, and millions of consumers now
actively trying to greenify their lives” 2008 consumer trends will be greatly
influenced by a brand’s eco-friendliness. A recent study released by
HSBC indicated the as much as 60% of consumers are influenced by a
brand’s eco-friendliness in various markets.
As the environment
becomes an increasingly hot-button issue for the buying public,
companies must expand their branding to include “green” and this
also includes how their brands are promoted.

- isn't it more expensive to be
Earth Friendly?
It is and it isn't. By this we mean that while present day
alternatives can be more expensive than their mass produced and
eco-unfriendly counterparts, products that are
commonly used to execute mobile marketing campaigns can reduce the
long-term cost. This benefit outweighs the immediate cost to launch
a mobile marketing program.
Immediate benefits include saving money on costly
replacements for disposable materials and future cost of new
materials for future events (on campaigns that are re-utilizing
materials and event elements from previous campaigns). As far as the
impression made by a eco-conscious company on it's target
demographic the cost benefit is long term.
The return on investment for a green campaign can be
realized through increase in customer sales, increase in brand
loyalty, decrease in project overhead and above all the invaluable
cost of our planet's future.
Makes more than cents now doesn't it?
